Shave your head bald?

- For many men, shaving their heads seems to be the solution to their hair problems.
- However, shaving still doesn't clear your head.
- Bald men are now constantly thinking about the best care for their scalp.
- Shaving the head or stimulating hair growth with thiocyanate: two options that are not mutually exclusive.
For many men, shaving their heads is a reaction to their hereditary hair loss, which often begins after puberty. First, a receding hairline and a tonsure form. Then baldness sets in. Watching for years as your hair thins out? That's it, the end of it! Shaving your head is better... But there's an interesting alternative: stimulating hair follicles.
Shaving your head: A liberating act
Cutting off hair because men don't actually want to be bald is a rather paradoxical decision, but completely understandable, because creating a bald head by one's own hand within a few minutes is of great symbolic significance. We are back in control of our appearance, not the DHT androgen. The issue of hair loss is resolved with a shave. What a relief!
Many men without hair, especially actors, are considered very attractive. A bald head is trendy and is perceived by many as a fashion statement today. The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William , is even celebrated for voluntarily going shirtless at a young age and is said to be very happy with it.
Now or never
Before deciding to go bald, those affected have spent a lot of time fighting their hair loss . They've changed their diet, considered a hair transplant more than once, compared costs, tried to reduce their stress levels, or tried medications for hair loss. The only thing that's keeping them hesitant is the others. How will family and friends react? Their colleagues? What will their wife say? And, last but not least, the question: Will I like being bald?
Learning to live with a bald head
A good way to get used to being completely bald is on vacation. The razor is in your luggage. Alternatively, a hairdresser in Mallorca or the Maldives can shave for you. With enough distance from everyday life, it's easier to cope with the new "hairstyle." The people you meet abroad only know you with a bald head. They're unlikely to start a conversation about hair. This acceptance leads to self-confidence. Back in Germany, it's much easier to present yourself without any hair at all.
Shaving your head: It’s also hard work
The decision to go bald is somewhat tempered by the work involved. Shaving your head takes at least twice as long as shaving your beard.
Shaving foam and razors like those used for beards are out of the question. The head has many problem areas: around the ears and especially on the neck, where a controlled shave becomes difficult and cuts can never be completely avoided. On the other hand, a bald head doesn't necessarily mean shaving down to the scalp. Stubble between 3 and 6 mm is recommended. This can be easily achieved with an electric long-hair trimmer, even with your eyes closed.
Don't underestimate the fact that regular shaving puts a lot of strain on the scalp. The shaved area on the head is a good three times larger than that of the face when shaving a beard. But the scalp is even more sensitive than the skin on the face. The scalp can become dry and flaky. Itching is a possible consequence.
That is why, especially in winter, effective skin cream indispensable for a bald head. The bigger problem, however, is the sun. UV rays hit the unprotected scalp almost vertically. The skin ages prematurely and loses elasticity. The risk of skin cancer should not be underestimated. Therefore, anyone with a bald head should always wear a hat and have their head regularly examined for skin changes.
To keep the scalp healthy, a bald head requires regular care. Further precautionary measures are highly recommended.
Really a radical cut?
Even after deciding to go bald, the regrowth of hair is omnipresent. Every time you touch your head and scalp with the palm of your hand, you can feel the stubble. Because hair is unstoppable. It always grows back. In this sense, the radical decision to go bald isn't irreversible.
Newly bald men probably often find themselves imagining what it would be like to have longer hair again. The vast majority of the average 100,000 hair follicles are active, and the inactive hair follicles can be stimulated to new, strong growth with the active ingredient thiocyanate. Thiocyanate expert Prof. Dr. Axel Kramer explains: "In principle, thiocyanate can reactivate hair roots and stimulate hair growth wherever they are still present—even if they have been inactive for years."
Even after shaving: It’s never too late for hair
Anyone who chooses to go bald or wants to shave their head should pause and consider this for a moment... Daily application of Thiocyn Hair Serum with its patented thiocyanate formula takes a maximum of two or three minutes. In this sense, supplying hair follicles and scalp with thiocyanate takes no longer than regular shaving and scalp care.
Sure, it can take several months to rebalance the slowed hair cycle and reactivate inactive hair roots. But it's important to use Thiocyn Hair Serum regularly for at least four to six months to truly evaluate whether it's working (for me). One bottle of Thiocyn Hair Serum lasts for six to eight weeks, depending on the size of the affected area.
